Know what differs.
Before your next
catalog update.

A supplier says “M”. Your catalog says “Medium”. Compare the files, confirm what’s equivalent, and find the rows that actually need your attention.

FROM TWO FILES TO A CLEAR REVIEW

See the findings.
Then decide what’s useful.

Start with a free scan. The planned paid report adds the complete row-by-row review and export. Full reports are also free during the current beta.

  1. 01

    Select and map your files

Choose a supplier CSV and your Shopify product export. Tell Variant Desk which columns hold SKU, brand, options, and amounts. Add confirmed size or colour rules for each exact brand.

  2. 02

    Get a free findings summary

See shared SKUs, rows needing attention, supplier-only references, and up to three findings. A supplier-only product is not automatically an error.

  3. 03

    Open the complete review report

Inspect original rows, record decisions, and export the report. Proposed one-time pricing starts at $5 when paid access launches.

SEE THE FILES. SEE THE DELIVERABLE.

Two inputs.
One usable review.

Compare the same synthetic SKUs across a supplier catalog, Shopify export, and the actual review CSV. Switch tabs to see what changes—and download each sample.

The report keeps original labels beside mapped and catalog values. Applied rules have an exact brand scope. Duplicate references remain blocked.

Original supplier labels and comma-decimal retail amounts. Values are shown as they appear in the CSV. Scroll horizontally to see more columns.

Example only: size and colour rules are explicitly confirmed for Northline; both amount columns are assumed to be EUR retail prices on the same tax basis. Your own scan requires your confirmation. The review CSV is not a Shopify import file. Import SKU columns as text in your spreadsheet to preserve leading zeros.

Option 1 is size and option 2 is colour in this sample. Your selected column names are included in the full export.Try the working sample →

Count SKUs, not spreadsheet rows. Pricing uses distinct, non-blank supplier SKU references in the file you scan. Repeated references count once. Store size does not determine the tier.

A 20-product store comparing a supplier file with 100 distinct SKUs would fall into the proposed $5 tier. All tiers include the same report features. Both files must fit the current limit of 2 MB and 5,000 data rows each.

The public beta is free, including full reports. The prices above are proposed; final price, applicable taxes, and access terms will be shown before any future purchase.

A FEW PRACTICAL DETAILS

Before you scan.

Are my CSV files uploaded?

No. The current beta reads selected files and processes comparisons in browser memory. Source contents are not uploaded by the app. Refreshing or closing the page removes your session, so export anything you want to keep. See our privacy notice for hosting and support information.

Does Variant Desk fix my Shopify catalog?

It produces a comparison report for your review. It does not connect to Shopify, write to your store, or generate an import CSV. Inventory, images, shipping, tax calculations, and unmapped fields are outside the comparison.

What if my supplier has products I don’t stock?

Those references appear as “Outside catalog”, separate from overlapping SKUs. They can be normal supplier-only products. The tool does not treat their absence as proof of an error or automatically create products.

What files can I use?

One UTF-8, comma-separated supplier CSV and one existing Shopify product CSV. Each file may contain up to 2 MB and 5,000 data rows. Excel, PDF, semicolon-separated files, and tabs are not currently supported.

Do I have to pay before seeing the findings?

No. The scan summary and a few findings are free. The intended paid version will offer the complete report separately at the quoted tier. For the current beta, you can open and export the full report free; there is no active checkout.

Start with the files you already have.

No store connection. No account. See what the comparison finds.
